Moldovan Architects is an established Design Practice founded in Sydney , Australia in 1988 by Alex Moldovan.  It has developed an enviable reputation of unmatched quality and results. At Moldovan Architects we take an enthusiastic approach to all types of projects,  but our expertise lies in High End Residential. We offer an old fashioned personal service and a commitment to quality, creativity and cost effectiveness that is lost with most firms in today's world. We collaborate and have a long term relationship  with some of the best specialist consultants and tradespeople. Our approach to Design, centres on the Client.  We listen and we encourage our Clients to be involved from the initial design concepts through to construction. We aim to provide each valued Client with the highest level of service. Our Philosophy is based on attaining harmonious and functional environments, which are liveable and enjoyable for our Client's lifestyle.

Our People

Alex Moldovan’s passion has been the design of beautiful spaces for people to live and work in. Alex strives to merge the interior and exterior environments in a seamless transition. Having graduated from the University of NSW with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in 1973, Alex proceeded to travel throughout Europe, where he was employed for 2 years with a well known Architectural Firm involved with primarily commercial fitouts of a Spanish Bank, and Housing for the Aged. This was followed by designing a Civic Centre and low cost housing for a new town in the south of Israel. On his return to Sydney, Alex was involved in the design of the Polish Embassy in Canberra, home units in North Sydney, a factory warehouse in Alexandria, followed by several years working for the Commonwealth Bank in their Property Department. In 1988 Alex founded the practice as “Alex Moldovan Associates“ specialising in High End Residential Architecture and has built an impressive portfolio.
